Bio
Magdalena Kluth (b. 1997, Germany) is an abstract painter based in Brooklyn, New York whose work investigates themes of interconnectedness, collective remembrance, belonging, and the nature of human perception.
She holds a B.A. in Fashion Journalism and Communication from the AMD Academy of Fashion and Design and has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions across Germany, Mexico, and the United States, including solo shows at Koik Contemporary in Mexico City and Cheznous in New York. Her work has been featured in publications including Vogue México, Excélsior, and El Economista.
Her practice is rooted in a textural and tactile visual language that draws on both modern and ancient materials and techniques. Working across canvas, silk, and copper with materials such as pigments, ink, marble powder, and tempera, Kluth creates layered, sculptural paintings whose luminosity shifts with the light, inviting the observer into spaces of emotional projection and reflection. Her work explores the relationship between the inner and outer worlds, an ongoing inquiry into what connects us beneath the boundaries of culture, language, belief, and identity.
