2024 Pláticas Nocturnas Solo Show at Radio28, CDMX (Mexico)
Gallery: Radio 28
Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Date: June 8 – June 15
Curation: Magdalena Kluth
A testament to the beauty of imperfection and the rawness of human emotion. Delve into the profound and often unguarded conversations we have at night and explore the intimate moments of connection we share with others. As fatigue sets in, we find ourselves sharing truths, vulnerabilities, and feelings that are otherwise kept hidden.
This collection of abstract paintings seeks to capture the essence of these nocturnal dialogues, offering a visual representation of the deep connections we forge as well as echoing the multifaceted nature of our inner lives.
Kluth is deeply fascinated by the textures of the world around us. By creating her own colors and experimenting with different pigments, binders, dispersions and natural materials, she combines traditional and modern techniques to create her paintings. Each painting is a visual experience, grounded in the physical world but reaching into the emotional and psychological realms, incorporating materials like mud and sand to create a rich, layered effect that invites viewers to explore the depth and complexity of our inner worlds.
